A Writer's Diary
A Writer's Diary
By Heri Cahyono
I woke up in the cold morning
Heading to the bathroom a little sleepy
Then I took a handful of water in my hand
I put it on my smooth face
I felt the cool water seeping into my pores
Refreshing my whole body that was sluggish
I took toothpaste and poured it all over the toothbrush bristles
Then I brush my shiny white teeth
I go straight to my desk
I open my diary yesterday
Start planning daily activities for the next week
I write in a writer's diary
With all my heart I write the black ink on
the blank white paper
Slowly but surely I began to fill in beautiful sentences
That gave me the spirit to start my day
I wrote down all the ideas that were in my mind
I poured out the thoughts that were still pent
I made notes that gave me motivation
That inspired me to keep going
It didn't feel like almost two notes were
neatly written with full of certainty
Will my plan that will keep going
Towards a word that is happiness
